Farmers literally feed the world, and across the board, too many are being squeezed by rising costs and falling prices. Volatile trade policies and stalled export programs are making it harder for row crop, livestock, and dairy farmers to break even. Farmers need the right to repair their equipment and proper infrastructure to leverage new technology. I support smart trade and policies that prioritize family farms so rural communities can thrive.

Infrastructure is the way we grow local economies and protect communities for the long haul regardless of population size or location—it’s become an all-encompassing need. We need to stop the current administration from holding up funding from the 2021 Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

• Diversify the electrical grid to ensure reliable, affordable energy built for the long haul
• Support the Grain Belt Express project for stable, low-cost power
• Strengthen the power grid for storms and disruptions
• Provide funds for new roads and repair others
• Create effective and sustainable infrastructure plans
• Support smart-energy solutions and domestic energy production
• Implement effective flood control and water management

We live in a virtual world and lack of access to reliable internet is one of the keys to improving the quality of life in a myriad of diverse ways, from social connection to education and commerce. But there is a gap for people who do not have the means or access to this infrastructure that needs to be closed. According to the Mid-American Regional Council, one in ten homes “lack broadband subscriptions, computers and know-how to effectively use the technology.” Improved and accessible social infrastructure will connect our communities and those who live in them.

• Get high-speed internet into neglected areas
• Fully fund broadband expansion, especially in rural areas
• Prioritize any unserved areas in our district and others
• Regulate major telecom companies’ profit and control
• Explore additional solutions to access like satellite and wireless
• Investigate costs vs. benefit of data centers to residents

One in five Missourians rely on Medicaid for healthcare assistance and many rely on SNAP for food. Living below the poverty line is not determined by location. Yet the current administration insists on pushing cuts that would gut these programs, while offering massive tax breaks to the wealthy. Prescription and insurance costs are also rising, compounding the issue for those above the poverty line who are also in need. I support moving America to a universal healthcare system, with a focus on facilities and access to life-saving care. Good and accessible healthcare is a priority.

• Create funding for rural access to affordable and reliable healthcare
• Find funding for rural and other hospitals that are struggling to stay open
• Help hospitals handling patient increases due to others closing
• Support healthcare providers and educators
• Work with pharmaceutical companies to lower prices
• Put the Food and Drug Administration back in control
• Close the diversity gap so that all minorities have access
• Support healthcare research and development
• Explore options like stand-alone emergency rooms and better mobile-care possibilities

When I think about education, I am thinking about how critical access to education is to so many areas of our lives. From our children and youth having strong public schools to colleges, trade schools, internships or learning on-the-job, education matters. But there are people who want education at any level and still do not have access due to location, finances or disability. We are falling behind in this area when there are ways to reverse that slide.

• No school vouchers as they divert funding from public schools
• “School choice” is not a choice for everyone, especially in rural areas
• Stop the anti-public schools Herzog foundation and others from buying politicians
• Increase federal and state funding to public schools
• No federal money going to private religious schools
• Provide broadband and internet access for online learning
• Fund school meals for all children and universal pre-K
• Financially assist the purchase of technology to those in need
• Keep religion out of public schools

Everyone deserves sovereignty over their bodies—plain and simple. Federal and state Republicans have taken actions that show they think they know better than the voters they are supposed to serve. I will work to ensure that all areas of personal choice are not regulated by the government. From abortion rights to gender and lifestyle choices, the government needs to stay out.

• Work to ensure the right to live freely and equally—no exceptions
• Help those currently targeted by the government
• Stop the use of personal choice as a political weapon
• Use the voter power we have that dramatically defeated Amendment 4
• Stop Amendment 3 in November as it will prevent reproductive freedom
• Overturn the Missouri General Assembly’s SAFE Act which targets the transgender community in our state
• Fight to stop or overturn any state or federal control over personal choice

Climate change is real, and Missouri and other states are already experiencing the problems it is causing. It calls for a smarter approach backed by funding. As a builder, I know it’s cheaper in the long run to build things right the first time, and the same goes for environmental policy. We need to have long-term plans for actions as scientists have proved climate change will continue to get worse, and there is no quick fix.

• Create bipartisan federal action to find preventive and reparative solutions
• In Missouri, work on the damage from extreme rainfall for rural and riverfront towns
• In Missouri, work on the issues of extreme heat in more populated areas
• Federally, reverse the Republican cut of the Environmental Protection Agency
• Stop the Republican administration’s prioritization and deregulation of fossil fuel use
• Stop the Republican administration’s cuts to climate research
• Fight powerful climate-denial groups and major corporations
• Disallow these climate-denial organizations from spending millions funding political campaigns and lobbying in Congress

According to the June 2026 Federal Reserve Bank of New York, household debt just hit a record $18.8 trillion. While households struggle to get by, this Republican administration is taking actions that are making the economy worse. The waste, grift and illegal actions of the current administration have caused a record high national debt of $40 trillion.

• Stop the sweeping, erratic tariffs that raise the cost of imported goods and services
• Reverse the Republicans’ huge tax cuts to the wealthy
• Stop the illegal Iran war Trump started and Republicans supported
• Fix the country’s economic problems that war has created
• Reverse Republican cuts to government services
• Assist those who can no longer afford housing or food
• Bring down rising inflation and create jobs

While Missouri and its farmlands are a significant part of the economic landscape in the 6th District, urban, suburban, exurban and small communities are also critical to the district’s economics. According to Data USA, in 2024 approximately 96-98% of Missouri’s civilian workforce is outside of farming, and the needs of those in the non-farming sector need to be addressed.

• Keep the federal Small Business Association and help ensure access
• Support educators, healthcare workers and support services
• Work to retain Medicaid, Medicare and SNAP
• Support repairs to aging infrastructure in these areas
• Address childcare, labor needs and housing issues

In the 6th District, seniors age 60 and older account for approximately 26% of our population, and youth age 19 and 20 account for 12%. That’s over a third of our population, and while they may have similar needs, some of them may rank higher than other generational demographics.

• Provide seniors with reliable healthcare access and transportation
• Assist with caregiving and aging-in-place needs for seniors
• Support affordable housing for both demographics
• Increase educational opportunities for youth
• Assist youth in becoming part of the workforce

The current Republican administration has been working hard to deny civil and human rights to citizens and legal residents. It is extremely dangerous when free speech, due process and other civil and human rights are ignored with no accountability or justifiable evidence. I will work to stop this and protect the victims.

• Hold Republicans, especially powerful political appointees, accountable
• Support the immigrants and others the administration is targeting
• Stop this administration’s efforts to gather citizens’ personal data
• Get back to protecting civil rights and hold those who do not accountable
• Use legal action to return to free press, free speech and the right to protest
• Eliminate ICE and any use of the military to illegally arrest, detain and/or deport
• Develop a humane legal immigration enforcement separate from the Department of Homeland Security
• Ensure freedom of religion, which is also being currently targeted

I support and appreciate the Second Amendment for many reasons, but its misuse has become an issue. Public safety can be protected without trampling on Second Amendment freedoms.

Guns are now the leading cause of death for children and teens in Missouri—that’s not politics, that’s reality.

• Keep and enforce background checks
• Highlight the importance of gun storage
• Document gun sales and owner changes of deadly weapons
• Fund gun violence research
• Stop illegal access to guns
• Create registration requirements for 3D-printed guns
• Reduce violence in high-crime communities

All able-bodied or otherwise qualified individuals, enlisted or drafted, should have equal opportunity within the military. All service members, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity or lifestyle choices, should be protected from harassment and discrimination. Support for our military here and abroad is wide-ranging and of high importance.

• Increase support for the military members thrown into the Iran war
• Stop the use of ICE under the guise of “Homeland Security”
• Keep defense funding targeted to priority needs
• Work to keep federal veteran benefits, including healthcare
• Ensure appropriate use of the National Guard

Unions built the backbone of America’s working class. They have provided worker protections that include weekends, child labor laws, the 40-hour workweek and workplace safety standards. I’m proudly pro-union.

• Provide avenues for union voices to be heard
• Ensure fair wages and healthcare
• Support the freedom to organize
• Stop the current administration from interfering
• Support unions’ state and federal legal efforts

While January 6th was a horrific attack on the transition of power, it also represented an attack on fair elections. Now the Republicans are trying to consistently deny citizens the right to vote for fear of losing control of Congress. It’s not one attempt at this, it’s many. Fair elections should be a given, not a political tool.

• Ensure the Constitutional right for states’ control of voting
• Keep ID requirements that existed prior to this administration
• Fight the attempts to ban mail-in voting
• Stop the threats of placing ICE at the polls
• Continue to keep the SAVE Act from passing
• Require accountability for fair-election interference
• Stop this administration from accessing state voting lists
